Taking A Break

I'm taking a break from sewing on my machine and am limited to my time hand sewing. Reason is I thought I could fly, seriously I did.

Two weeks ago I tripped on a paver in a friend's front yard.   When I landed, I was full body length with my hands stretched out in front of me. Without my super cape.

I broke two bones in my left arm, damaged my right hand ( more x-rays this week) and that is still not functioning properly. My left foot, needs a ultra-scan this coming week as I can't still walk properly. Plus other injuries up and down my body and face. LOTS of black bruises.

That is a happy me after 2 weeks, waiting for the swelling to go down after I got my second plaster. Fits better and more comfy.

So for the last two weeks I have watched so much TV and gotten out of cooking and housework.

I have been trying to find out what I can manage sewing wise, even for 5 to 10 mins at a time.

Was not able to hold my wool work with my left hand, so Pat pinned it to an old cross stitch hoop.I was only able to sew if I poked the needle through to the back and put my hand then under the work. But I could sew.

With the new cast, I can now sew little items. Yesterday was my first time sewing in five days with my new cast. This little penny was final completed.

So that is why I have been quiet here. No sewing on my machine and all my markets have been cancelled for the rest of this year.

Cheers
Lucky.
